Craig Campbell's Thrilling Mic Hunt

Craig Campbell now lives in our beautiful Westcountry. His knowledge of the area and the characters it exudes, married with his outrageous anecdotes and skilful storytelling, make him a pleasure to watch. His performance was truly ribtickling. I will take away from it a constant wonder why rowers don't look where they are going, and a terror that some pilots can lack fundamental common sense!

I believe that his was the last date of this particular tranch, so I can't recommend this particular show as you will be all out of luck! However, I would highly recommend going to see any of his shows. His wit is gently probing and succeeded in drawing in the entire audience, both young and old.

Arriving on stage in a shirt, shorts and water shoes- he fit into his surroundings effortlessly. His takes on loacl people were scarily accurate, and the way in which he put his show together was seamless. He interacted with the audience and didn't even miss a beat when difficulties arose. An absolute professional.

Unfortunately, the act who supported him was not particularly amusing and I found him to be rather too politically motivated for my liking. However, all was not lost as his Hitler song was really rather funny, and I went home raving about it!

It was an absolute crime that the auditorium was only half full! At only £15 per ticket, it was the bargain of the century. A standing ovation from Centre Stage Plymouth!!

For the evening as a whole, I will give 8/10 as I found the first act was not to my taste, but for Craig Campbell's act I give a well-deserved 10/10.
